New to New Life Covenant Church?   Me too!  My start date was July 2023, so that makes me very new.   Pictured here with my wife Jenny (she is the more photogenic one) we are thrilled to begin this new journey with the genuine and growing community we have found at New Life.  I love the outdoors, my family and Jesus -- not in that order.   

I begin ministry with a heart for students, serving and growing children's ministry.   Since that time, I have led both large and small congregations in country and suburban settings in varied locations like the central valley of California, the suburbs of Minneapolis MN and the greater Hartford area of Connecticut.   Somewhere in there, I became a Chaplain in the United States Navy Reserve, that has found me everywhere from Iraq to Afghanistan, serving with Seal Teams, United States Marines and Fleet Forces Command out of Norfolk.   Ministry has been varied and wonderful to say the least.  

Around town you are likely to see me in board shorts, casual jeans or khakis and even the occasional sports coat -- Yes, I do know how to tie a tie - just not very often.  

I have a doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary with my dissertation written on "Mysticism and Reform."   Don't be too impressed, it just means how God's Spirit talks to our hearts to make a difference.   That is the key isn't it? -- Whether 3 years old, 30 years old or ummm...older -- there is this wonder that Jesus uses and calls us at every age of life for purposes beyond ourselves.   For me as Pastor -- it is the greatest of joys to see how God's Spirit will lead and grow you!
