sunday morning Gathering
Our Sunday gathering is a time to worship God, connect with each other, and serve our community. As we all spend our weeks in the thick of our busy lives, it's important to have this space to refocus ourselves and remind ourselves of who we are and how we are called to live. This time on Sunday mornings is casual and joy-filled. People come as they are, dressed comfortably of course, and enjoy the time they have with each other. We invite you to come and be part of this amazing community.
We love to sing. It's one of the joys of our lives as Christ followers. The joy of having a relationship with God, of knowing that we are saved, compels us to sing. There's a whole book in the Bible devoted to this compulsion. Every Sunday, we have a full band that leads us in singing. We sings songs old and new. But if you don't feel comfortable singing, don't worry. Just enjoy the music.
One of the most important things we do as Christians is listen to the preaching of God's Word. It's vital in our walk with Jesus that we constantly seek guidance and direction from the scriptures. Let's face it, we're all a little thick-skulled. We forget easily. Preaching is a way to jog our memories and remind us of who God is and what he's done for us. The preaching at New Life is passionate and personal. We're not trying to teach a Theology course. We're trying to bring the Word of God into your life.
Our kids are so important to us and so is our children's ministry. That's why we work to create a community of young people learning and growing in their faith in Jesus. On Sundays the kids start in the service with their parents, where they get to sing along and hear what's going on in the church. Then before the message, they move into the children's area where we have special activities that teach them and encourage them to love God and love others.
What greater joy is there than the birth of a baby? It's a time to celebrate the miracle of new life. These little one's are so important to us. We invite parents with small children to keep their little ones in the service with them. Before the message, we open up the nursery area. If you feel comfortable, you are welcome to have your child watched by our parent volunteers.
